* Frank Pratt & Sons are seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Mechanic to join our workshop in Kilmurray, Trim. This is a full-time permanent position offering a competitive salary and an excellent package for the successful candidate.
* Key Duties
* Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and scheduled maintenance
* Diagnose faults and complete mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs
* Service and repair a varied fleet of HGVs and tipper trailers
* Ensure all work meets required quality, safety, and compliance standards
* Complete documentation and job cards accurately and on time
* Provide daily updates to management on progress and vehicle status
* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment
* Work across multiple truck models and tipping trailer types
* Perform additional duties as required by management
* Required Skills & Experience
* Relevant mechanical qualification (e.g., National Craft Certificate, Level 6, or equivalent)
* Minimum 3 years' experience as an HGV or heavy vehicle mechanic
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and attention to detail
* Strong understanding of safety standards and maintenance procedures
* Proficiency in English
* Physically fit for the demands of the role
* Desirable
* Experience with hydraulics, electrics, and trailer maintenance
* Knowledge of CVRT preparation and compliance requirements
