Cleaning Operative – Nursing Home

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team in a warm and caring nursing home environment. Your role will be essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene to support the health, safety, and comfort of the residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean and sanitise resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and staff areas
* Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces
* Disposal of waste safely and appropriately
* Monitoring cleaning and hygiene supplies
* Ensure infection prevention and control standards are consistently maintained
* Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management
* Work as part of a team to support a clean and safe living environment
Key Requirements
* Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience (healthcare environment desirable but not essential)
* Good level of English speaking
* Legally authorised to work in Ireland
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
* Friendly and respectful attitude towards elderly residents
* Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
