We are partnering with a company who specialize in the design and manufacture of high-performance sensors and electronic equipment for demanding environments in space.
They are seeking a Product Assurance Engineer to ensure products meet customer and industry requirements throughout their lifecycle. In this role, you will define and implement product assurance activities for space-grade electronic equipment, working closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to ensure compliance from design through delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and implement Product Assurance (PA) plans aligned with customer and space industry standards (e.g. ECSS, ISO, or equivalent)
Support design reviews to ensure quality, reliability, safety, and dependability requirements are met
Lead PA reviews at key project milestones, including documentation and follow-up of actions
Oversee manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure compliance with approved procedures and workmanship standards
Manage non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
Review and approve key documentation such as procedures, inspection plans, test reports, and certificates of conformity
Support supplier quality activities, including assessments, audits, and performance monitoring
Participate in internal and external audits
Perform hardware inspections and produce quality inspection reports
Ensure configuration control and traceability of materials, components, and processes
Act as the main point of contact for customers on product assurance matters
Contribute to continuous improvement of quality and assurance processes
Qualifications & Skills:
Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in Product Assurance, Quality, or Reliability, ideally in the space, aerospace, or high-reliability electronics sector
Knowledge of relevant standards such as ECSS, ESA requirements, ISO 9001, or AS9100
Understanding of electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, testing, and inspection processes
Experience with non-conformance management, risk assessment, and problem-solving methodologies
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test requirements
Strong attention to detail and a structured, analytical approach
Excellent communication skills in English
This position is open to non-EU candidates who already have experience working as a Product Assurance Engineer within the space industry.
