Our studio is continuing to grow, and with new and exciting projects coming in, we are seeking an Audio Programmer for our studio located in Dublin, to join us in developing AAA games for some of the most renowned studios in the world. Responsibilities
Work with audio designers to design technical approach to achieve artistic vision
Plan and detail any environment requirements for optimal audio presentation
Work with Gameplay, AI, and Optimisation engineers to integrate audio systems while staying in performance budgets
Profile and optimise audio usage to achieve high quality with minimal CPU and memory overhead
Integrate plugins for platform specific capabilities
Deliver high-performance, high-quality, and well-documented code
Use source control and bug reporting software
Prioritize and execute tasks in a team environment QualificationsAudio Engineer experience in game development
Knowledge and experience of C++
Experience with Unreal Engine
Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine's audio system and middleware solutions such as Wwise, Unreal Audio Engine or FMOD.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Familiar with profiling and debugging tools
Passion for developing immersive audio solutions that elevate the player experience
Clear passion for gaming
Desirable
Experience with integrating audio driven effects. (e.g. Wwise motion)
Experience working with Wwise authoring API (WAAPI)
Design and implement solid APIs
Hands on work with rendering/graphics
Agile development experience
Tool creation experience
Familiarity with other coding languages such as C#, Python, Groovy
