Role Description
SMBC is seeking an Enterprise Service Management Analyst who has a strong passion for IT Change & Release Management and is interested in building a career at a fast growing and reputable Bank.
The Enterprise Service Management Analyst will assist with planning, developing and implementing tools and processes governing the change and release cycle for application and configuration deployments, accounting for risk and security concerns.
They will be given opportunities to participate in managing projects in the development pipeline to ensure releases are executed on time and within budget.
The successful candidate will analyse reporting on development lifecycle and control procedure compliance to ensure efficient and effective policies.
This role will report to the Director of Enterprise Service Management.Role Objectives: Delivery Prioritize work based on business needs, development goals and security requirements.
Analyze reports on development lifecycle and control procedure compliance to ensure efficient and effective polices are in place.
Perform QA testing on items ready for deployment to ensure build quality, functionality and compatibility with integrated and related systems and applications.
Collaborate with application development leads to implement policy regarding the change control process as well as to understand organize the development pipeline.
Engage with business unit leads to set standards, prioritize projects essential to key functions and initiatives, and provide updates on release progress.
Work with application development colleagues to understand the code and functions within each release and to design and coordinate testing procedures for each release.
Partner with IT support and deployment teams to communicate release schedules and prepare to troubleshoot any incidents that may occur after deployment.
Qualifications and Skills Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle, change control procedures and risk mitigation practices.
Exhibit ability to manage projects requiring the coordination of several different teams developing products while creating clear communication structures and maintaining goal alignment.
Show analytical skills necessary to effectively review change management policy performance and to prioritize project development.
Possess knowledge of the firm's current systems and application states to understand dependencies and identify conflicts before deployment.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate a self-motivated and disciplined approach to learning and working.
Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate leadership skills when needed.
Possess a highly developed sense of personal accountability and follow-through with an ability to effectively prioritize multiple personal tasks, projects, and goals.
