We are seeking an experienced Home Manager to lead a residential service for children and young people with complex needs. This is a key leadership role, balancing compliance, staff management, and care-focused practice to ensure the highest standards of support and safeguarding.
As Home Manager, you will oversee daily operations, support staff development, maintain compliance with regulations, and work closely with families, schools, social workers, and professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clear leadership and promote a positive, inclusive team culture
* Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care
* Supervise, mentor, and support staff, including rota management
* Maintain robust safeguarding and compliance with childcare legislation
* Represent the home at reviews, inspections, and professional meetings
* Oversee budgets, resources, and property management
* Support education, social integration, and life skills programmes for young people
* Drive continuous improvement and service development
Qualifications & Requirements
* Level 7+ qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or related field
* Recognised management qualification (essential)
* 3+ years' management experience in children's residential or similar setting
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, childcare legislation, and regulations
* Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
* Full clean driving licence
