Support Worker
We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering holistic, trauma-informed care to young people in a team environment.
The role involves working closely with children and young people, managing household activities, administrative tasks, teamwork, professional development, health and safety, and ensuring child protection procedures are followed.
Responsibilities also include participating in the development and implementation of Care and Placement Plans, promoting the rights and responsibilities of each child/young person, and encouraging attendance at school, training centres, medical and clinical appointments.
Additionally, the successful candidate will prepare well-balanced meals for the young people and undertake various aspects of home management, including household budgeting, upkeep, and cleaning.
The Support Worker will attend team meetings and report to the Social Care Leader/Manager on matters affecting the delivery of service.
Job Requirements: Registration in the Social Care Workers Register or holding a CORU approved qualification and being eligible for registration is essential. Additionally, the ability to discharge the duties of office properly is required.
