Job Title: Credit Risk Specialist
Description:
As a seasoned professional in credit management, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely collection of payments and minimizing bad debt exposure. This involves monitoring outstanding balances, conducting thorough credit checks on new customers, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
\(1. Monitor and manage outstanding balances to ensure prompt collection of overdue payments.
\(2. Review credit applications and conduct detailed credit assessments for new customers.
\(3. Set credit limits based on risk assessments and maintain up-to-date customer account records.
\(4. Reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate payment tracking and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
\(5. Prepare and present regular reports on overdue accounts, bad debts, and cash flow to the finance team.
\(6. Collaborate with internal teams to resolve credit-related issues and maintain smooth billing and invoicing processes.
Requirements:
\(1. Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field (preferred but not required).
\(2. Proven experience as a Credit Controller or Debt Collector.
\(3. Strong knowledge of credit management procedures and excellent communication skills.
\(4. Ability to work under pressure, handle difficult conversations, and maintain accurate records.
\(5. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
