Our client is a well-established construction main contractor working across Ireland and the UK. They focus on delivering complex projects in areas like Data Centres, Life Sciences, and logistics facilities.
They’re currently looking to bring in an experienced Project Manager to join their Cork-based team. It’s a great opportunity to get involved in large, high-profile builds with a company that continues to grow and win strong projects.
You’ll take ownership of projects from early stages right through to handover, making sure everything runs smoothly, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
Keeping project programmes on track and working closely with the Contracts Manager on timelines
Leading and supporting your site team, including mentoring more junior staff
Making sure the right people and resources are in place at the right time
Driving a strong health & safety culture across the project
Keeping a close eye on quality to ensure everything meets spec Managing costs and working with the commercial team to stay on budget
Building solid relationships with clients and keeping them updated on progress, risks, or delays
Requirements
A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or something similar
Around 5+ years’ experience managing construction projects (new builds and/or fit-outs)
Experience in Design & Build projects would be a big plus
Someone who can confidently plan and deliver complex jobs
Strong technical understanding, along with good reporting and numerical skills
Good communicator who can deal with a range of stakeholders
Commercially aware and able to make practical, cost-effective decisions
Comfortable using MS Office and project planning tools like MS Project (or similar)
