Role Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist Occupational HealthLocation: Vhi Naas Road, DublinA 10-month fixed term contract position has arisen within Vhi for Clinical Nurse Specialist Occupational Health role. The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of high-quality occupational health services to our clients and their employees. The Occupational Health Nurse will provide holiday cover for the existing OHN team, ensuring continuity of service and maintaining standards of care for our clients during periods of planned leave. What will you do:Conduct occupational health assessments, consistent with international best practice and relevant legislation. Oversee the full range of occupational health services including but is not limited to:Health surveillance Case management Support work related incidents/accidents Delivery of onsite Vaccination programmes Maintaining Occupational health procedures Health and wellbeing programme Liaising with other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team As part of a multidisciplinary team, assess and advise on workplace hazards and risks. Support the Occupational Health team in reviewing and developing occupational health service delivery. Participating in quality improvement Liaising with other professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team What you need to be successful 2 years post registration experience in Occupatioanl Health. Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice. Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development. Must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administration capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. Clean driving licence Education & ExperienceBe a registered general nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Relevant degree level or equivalent qualification in occupational health or related discipline. Interpersonal skillsIT skills: Proficiency in MS Word, excel and powerpoint Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and key stakeholders involved in Occupational Health service provision. Compedencey in Occupational Health case management Demonstrate involvement in quality.
