Offer description

Head of Internal Comms - International scope
A fast-growing, multinational business with European operations is hiring its first senior communications leader. This is a newly created position reporting to the Chief People Officer, with a direct partnership with the CEO - the kind of close, trusted advisory relationship that doesn't come along often at this level. The business is at a pivotal point in its growth and the person who takes this on will shape how it tells its story, brings its people with it, and builds a communications function that matches its ambition.
What's on offer
Base salary €120,000–€140,000 with a performance bonus. Car allowance, pension with a strong employer contribution, private health insurance, income protection, medical screening, and generous annual leave with additional entitlement linked to length of service.
How you'll work
Dublin city centre based, 3 days per week in the office with the executive leadership team, and 2 days worked remotely. There will be short-haul travel within Europe, approximately once a month, typically involving an overnight stay.
The role
You'll own everything from internal communications strategy to culture, engagement, and executive communications. There's a small existing team in place, but no established playbook and no predecessor to follow at this level. You'll partner directly with the CEO, advise the leadership team, and build something that reflects where this business is going.
What you'll be doing

Own and deliver the internal communications and engagement strategy across a dispersed, multi-location organisation
Act as a trusted adviser to the CEO and executive team on messaging, narrative, and leadership communications
Build the strategic narrative - translating complex business strategy into clear messages that land at every level
Lead change communications across a business undergoing real transformation
Drive culture and engagement - from listening tools and feedback loops to values and employee voice
Engage and align diverse stakeholders including employees, the Board, and group entities
Measure communications and engagement effectiveness - and use the insight to keep improving
Build the function properly - governance, channels, measurement, and ultimately a team around you

What we're looking for

10+ years in internal communications, with at least 5 in a leadership role
A track record of advising executive teams and operating at enterprise level in a complex, multinational environment
A natural storyteller - able to simplify complexity and create narratives that move people
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - clear, direct, and confident under pressure
High emotional intelligence and genuine credibility at senior level
Experience leading through change and across different cultures
Comfortable challenging up and across - constructively, without losing relationships
Experience in digital communications, content creation, and event planning
Commercially minded - able to connect communications activity to business value
Ambitious and energised by the idea of building something that hasn't existed before at this level
