Solar PV Operations ManagerCompany: Planet Blue EnergyLocation: Hybrid (Office and Remote)OverviewPlanet Blue Energy is seeking an experienced Solar PV Operations Manager to help oversee and coordinate our residential solar installation operations across Ireland. This role focuses on managing relationships with our external installation delivery partners, ensuring seamlessproject execution, and maintaining exceptional quality standards. The ideal candidatecombines technical knowledge of solar PV systems with strong coordination andcommunication skills to manage multiple concurrent projects remotely. You will work closelywith our installations planning team, review technical surveys, communicate changes tocustomers and partners, and ensure all installations meet regulatory compliance and qualityrequirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner & Contractor ManagementManage relationships with external installation delivery partners, establishing clearperformance expectations and monitoring service delivery quality.Coordinate and communicate with installation partners remotely to ensure projects arecompleted on time, within budget, and to specification.Vet and assess potential new subcontractors, evaluating their technical capabilities,certifications, insurance, and alignment with company quality standards.Monitor partner performance against KPIs and address any issues or underperformancethrough structured communication and improvement plans.Grow the installation capacity in line with increasing sales volume to avoid a backlog orbottlenecks.Implement continuous improvement initiatives with installation partners to enhanceefficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.Technical Review & Project CoordinationReview technical survey information from partners to identify any installationchallenges, scope changes, or technical requirements.Contact customers directly to communicate any necessary changes to installationscope, pricing, or timelines in a clear and professional manner.Coordinate approved changes with installation delivery partners, ensuring all partieshave updated information and documentation.Assist the installations planning team with job pack preparation, providing technicalinput and ensuring accuracy of specifications.Monitor project progress and installation timelines, proactively identifying potentialdelays and implementing corrective measures.Maintain detailed records of all project communications, changes, and partnerinteractions.Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure all installations completed by partners comply with SEAI standards, SafeElectric specifications, and building regulations.• Review post-installation documentation and quality reports from partners, identifyingany deficiencies requiring remediation.Coordinate the snagging process with installation partners to ensure all issues areresolved promptly and to standard.Maintain comprehensive documentation of installations, compliance records, andquality audits for regulatory purposes.Ensure partners maintain appropriate certifications, insurance, and adherence tohealth and safety requirements.Performance Management & ReportingTrack and report on key performance indicators including installation completion rates,project timelines, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction scores.Prepare regular operational reports for senior management, providing insights intoinstallation volumes, partner performance, and any emerging issues.Analyse operational performance data to identify trends, improvement opportunities,and resource allocation needs.Monitor project costs and profitability, working with partners to maintain budgetadherence and cost efficiency.Customer Communication & SupportCommunicate proactively with customers regarding technical survey outcomes, scopechanges, and installation timelines.Serve as escalation point for complex installation issues, working with partners andinternal teams to resolve matters effectively.Collaborate with the customer support team to ensure seamless information flow andcoordinated responses to customer enquiries.Gather customer feedback post-installation to drive continuous improvement in servicedelivery and partner performance.Process Improvement & SystemsIdentify and implement operational improvements that enhance efficiency, reducecosts, or improve quality across the installation process.Develop and refine standard operating procedures for partner coordination, technicalreviews, and change management.Utilise project management platforms (particularly ) to maintain visibilityand track progress across all installations.Stay informed of industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in solarPV installation.Skills & QualificationsEssential RequirementsMinimum 3-5 years' experience in operations coordination, project management, or asimilar role within the solar PV, renewable energy, construction, or electrical sectors.Strong technical understanding of solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, batterystorage, electrical integration, and installation requirements.Knowledge of SEAI grant processes, solar PV installation standards, electricalregulations (Safe Electric), and building compliance requirements in Ireland.Proven experience managing relationships with external contractors, suppliers, orinstallation partners.Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical information clearly tocustomers, partners, and internal teams.Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects andprioritise effectively.Experience reviewing technical documentation, surveys, and installation specifications.Proficiency with project management software or similar platforms) andMicrosoft Office Suite.Full clean driving licence (occasional travel to office or partner meetings may berequired).Desirable QualificationsElectrical qualification or SEAI accreditation in solar PV systems.Experience in contractor vetting, assessment, and onboarding processes.Familiarity with CRM systems and customer service best practices.Previous experience in a
