Your new role
Your new company is seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join their dynamic team. This role is critical in supporting their external account managers by identifying and generating high-quality leads through outbound sales calls. You will build relationships with industrial distributors and builders' merchant customers, understanding their needs and positioning the company's products/services effectively.
Your Responsibilities
* Outbound Sales & Lead Generation: Proactively contact builders' merchants and industrial distributors to identify new business opportunities.
* Account Management: Develop and nurture relationships with key in-store decision-makers, ensuring a high level of customer engagement.
* Pipeline Development: Qualify leads and set up opportunities for the external sales team.
* Sales Support: Provide product information, pricing details, and initial solutions for potential customers.
* Collaboration: Work closely with external account managers to ensure a seamless handover of leads.
* Answering incoming calls, and distributing to relevant parties
* Processing Orders
* Dealing with customer queries and complaints
* Preparing Quotations
* Logging calls on internal database using CRM
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in: B2B Sales (in construction/industrial sector desirable but not essential), account management, identifying and qualifying leads, working with builders' merchants, industrial distributors or similar sectors.
* Strong ability to engage and build relationships over the phone.
* Background in PPE (Hand/Foot Protection), construction materials, tools, or industrial supplies (desired but not essential)
* Experience with working towards and meeting KPIs
* Demonstrate a keen interest in and knowledge of both products and business
