Master Scheduler Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to join our manufacturing team in Sligo. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing detailed production schedules that align with manufacturing goals and customer demands.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys planning, coordinating and organizing resources to ensure seamless production operations. As a Master Scheduler, you will play a crucial part in maintaining high levels of efficiency, productivity and quality within the factory floor.

* Develop and manage detailed production schedules to meet agreed timelines and production targets.
* Coordinate closely with Engineering and other departments to ensure all necessary resources are available for production operations.
* Identify potential bottlenecks and proactively address them to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
* Maintain accurate records and reports to track production progress and identify areas for improvement.
* Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including production staff, engineering teams and management.


Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this role include:

* Production Scheduling: Developing and managing production schedules to meet customer demand and production targets.
* Resource Allocation: Coordinating the allocation of resources (materials, equipment, personnel) to support production operations.
* Bottleneck Identification: Identifying potential bottlenecks in the production process and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
* Communication: Communicating effectively with various stakeholders to ensure smooth production operations.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
* Extensive relevant experience in production scheduling and planning within a GMP-regulated environment.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software applications.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
