We supply a wide range of hydraulic and pneumatic components, assemblies and systems to industrial and mobile customers.Flowtech operates across three key areas:Flowtech – supplying hydraulic and pneumatic consumables for maintenance and repair across multiple industries.Fluidpower Group Solutions – providing technical hydraulic components and systems to OEMs and end users.Fluidpower Group Services – delivering bespoke design, manufacturing, commissioning, installation and servicing of hydraulic systems to industrial and mobile OEMs and a wide range of industrial users.At our Cork Engineering Centre, our fitters and workshop engineers build, repair and service hydraulic systems and assemblies for customers across these sectors. As Workshop Engineering Manager, you'll be at the heart of this – making sure work is planned, delivered safely, and completed to the highest technical standards.This role is ideal for someone with strong mobile or industrial hydraulics experience who enjoys running and managing a workshop team and thrives in a fast-moving, customer-focused environment.The roleReporting to the Engineering Centre Manager, you will:Run and manage the fitters / Workshop Engineers – planning workload, schedules and resources for both on- and off-site work.Oversee the day-to-day operation of the workshop, ensuring all builds, assemblies, repairs and services are completed to manufacturer requirements and best engineering practice.Hold regular planning meetings to review open orders, back orders, component shortages and build schedules – making sure customer commitments are met.Be the first point of contact for all workshop engineering queries – by phone, email and in person.Provide technical support and act as direct back-up for the engineering team.Lead by example – supporting your team hands-on when required to drive engagement and performance.Assist with the preparation and follow-up of quotations for assemblies and repairs, converting enquiries into orders.Use the company ERP system to set up workshop jobs, input quotes/orders and manage workflow.Build strong relationships with Engineering, Service, Procurement, Sales, Technical and Warehouse teams to keep jobs moving smoothly.Support on our trade counter from time to time, speaking directly with customers.Promote Health & Safety standards across the workshop and ensure compliance.Mentor, train and manage your team, driving fitter efficiency and helping improve scheduling and job tracking.Provide holiday cover and support for the Service Supervisor as needed.About youIndustry experience is a must.
