HRM are excited to be partnering with a globally Pharmaceutical and Biologics organisation to support the appointment of a
Quality Control Manager
at their established manufacturing site in Leinster.
This is a hands-on, technically focused leadership role, offering genuine scope to influence laboratory operations, people development, and continuous improvement initiatives as the site continues to invest heavily in QC capability, equipment, and talent.
Responsibilities
* Leading and developing API-focused QC teams within an operational laboratory.
* Oversight of laboratory release activities including raw materials, intermediates, IPC, stability, and API testing.
* Driving investigations, deviations, change control, and method transfer / validation activities.
* Ensuring ongoing GMP compliance, inspection readiness, and data integrity.
* Act as a key technical escalation point for complex analytical, instrumentation, and compliance issues within the QC laboratory.
* Support onboarding, training, and integration of new QC Analysts and QC Specialists as the laboratory continues to expand.
* Partner closely with Manufacturing, QA, and Operational Excellence teams to resolve quality issues and support production continuity.
* Contribute to laboratory capacity planning and resourcing to ensure testing demand is met without compromising compliance or quality.
* Lead and support laboratory readiness activities for internal, corporate, and regulatory inspections.
* Ensure effective use and lifecycle management of analytical equipment, including input into equipment selection and commissioning.
Experience
* Proven QC management experience within a GMP pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environment.
* A strong chemistry background, with hands-on expertise in HPLC and GC.
* Experience with method transfer, method validation, investigations, and batch release.
* A track record of leading and developing QC teams in a high-throughput laboratory.
* Exposure to Lean / continuous improvement.
* A BSc in Chemistry (or related discipline) is preferred.
