We’re now seeking a dynamic, experienced General Manager to lead the team and continue building on our success.
Position Summary
As General Manager you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management and strategic direction of An Púcán, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all bar and restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service, high standards, and regulatory compliance.
Lead and manage a team of supervisors, floor staff, bartenders, chefs, and security personnel.
Drive revenue and profitability through strong financial controls, budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
Create and maintain a positive team culture through training, development and performance management in collaboration with HR.
Collaborate with marketing to drive promotional events, seasonal campaigns and brand visibility.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and food hygiene standards.
Manage supplier relationships, stock control and purchasing.
Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, maintaining the highest level of guest satisfaction.
Monitor and analyze sales trends and performance metrics, making data‑driven decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
4+ years’ experience in a senior hospitality management role, preferably in a high‑volume bar or gastropub.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage large teams.
Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, particularly in Irish bar culture.
Financially savvy with experience in budget control, stock management and P&L responsibility.
Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
A flexible, can‑do attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Familiarity with scheduling software and other hospitality tools.
A passion for fast‑paced bars, live music and Irish hospitality.
Event‑planning or entertainment coordination experience.
