Project Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Cork. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing the cost of projects from inception to completion.
* Manage day-to-day commercial and contract activities, including undertaking contract administration, negotiating subcontract orders, and preparing cost value reports.
* Participate in the management of project budgets, cost plans, and feasibility studies as appropriate.
* Validate and approve sub-contractor interim applications and final submissions, ensuring compliance with the Construction Contracts Act.
* Negotiate and draft final accounts, including claims for loss and expense, delay and disruption, and time extensions.
* Maintain productive relationships with design team professionals, client representatives, and other stakeholders throughout the project.
Requirements:
* Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics or an equivalent degree recognised by the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland (SCSI) and/or by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
* 3-5 years' experience in quantity surveying, with a strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and systems.
* Demonstrated commercial awareness, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
* Strong numeracy and report writing skills.
* In-depth knowledge of various forms of contracts used in the construction industry.
