Overview
A major player in the food production sector is seeking a dynamic
Senior Maintenance Manager
to lead site-wide maintenance operations at a high-performing facility in
County Kildare
.
This is a strategic leadership role suited to someone with a proven track record in engineering and maintenance management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving reliability, compliance, and innovation across the plant.
Responsibilities
Lead and evolve the site\'s maintenance strategy to ensure optimal performance of equipment and utilities.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, embedding lean principles and reliability-focused practices.
Oversee capital projects and technical upgrades, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Ensure full compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks across all maintenance activities.
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver engineering solutions that support operational growth.
Manage vendor relationships and supervise contractor activities to uphold safety and quality standards.
Inspire and develop a high-performing maintenance team through strong leadership and coaching.
Criteria
Degree-qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar).
Extensive experience (10 years) in maintenance leadership within food or FMCG manufacturing.
Demonstrated success in managing large teams and delivering complex engineering projects.
Deep understanding of regulatory standards (GMP, HACCP, ISO, etc.) and maintenance best practices.
Strong project management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM methodologies is highly desirable.
