Health Protection Specialist
As a Health Protection Specialist, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the health and wellbeing of local communities by enforcing Environmental Health legislation across commercial and residential settings. You will conduct proactive inspections, audits, and risk assessments in line with legal frameworks to ensure compliance and protect public health.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Enforce Environmental Health legislation to prevent pollution, food safety issues, workplace accidents, and infectious disease outbreaks
* Conduct site visits, inspections, and audits to identify potential risks and take corrective action
* Investigate environmental complaints and incidents, working closely with partner agencies to promote public health campaigns and deliver educational initiatives
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic environmental plans and provide guidance on best practices
Candidate Requirements:
* Essential qualifications include a Degree (Level 6 or above) in Environmental Health, eligible for CIEH membership
* Minimum 6 months' relevant experience in a similar role
* Strong analytical, communication, and IT skills
* Knowledge of current Environmental Health legislation and regulations
