To continue the successful growth of our Capital Projects & Infrastructure team within EY’s Consulting practice, we are looking for experienced, motivated Senior Procurement Advisors with prior experience in large scale public procurements, to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in advising and overseeing the procurement activities for construction and infrastructure projects, managing procurement and commercial risks, and maximising project success.

Your key responsibilities
We are hiring Senior Procurement Advisors with a background in engineering, procurement, construction, and law/contracts to support our growth.
The ideal candidate will have relevant technical qualifications and a strong interest in commercial and procurement matters related to Public Procurement and Capital Projects & Infrastructure.
Senior Procurement Advisors will work closely with EY team members and clients to advise on procurement strategy and execution for major capital projects.
* Provide best-in-class advice, guidance, and procurement knowledge to infrastructure clients, ensuring processes are aligned with market capacity and compliant with Irish and EU public procurement rules.
* Support procurement activities, including strategy development, planning, managing processes, reviewing supplier performance, and contract negotiations.
* Conduct contract analysis and advise on contracting strategies.
* Build and maintain relationships, providing professional advice on procurement and sourcing strategies, policies, and legislation.
* Develop contract management plans, review and negotiate contracts, and mitigate contractual risks.
* Foster collaboration with external partners and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
Internal Responsibilities
Assist in client account management, including recruitment, financial management, and quality and risk oversight.
* Build relationships to generate new business opportunities.
* Support presentations and proposals for complex projects.
* Communicate effectively with senior management and motivate teams.
* Identify opportunities to improve service offerings.
* Support team development, including coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews.
Minimum qualifications
* Third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Law, or related field.
* At least 10 years of professional experience in a similar role.
* Experience in public procurement, contract management, or administration, especially in construction.
* Knowledge of capital investment projects and public procurement regimes.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a team environment.
* Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and procurement risk management skills.
* Willingness to adapt to evolving environments.
* Experience applying compliance standards in procurement processes.
* Ability to meet targets and optimize procurement strategies.
* Organized with attention to detail.
* Procurement qualification (e.g., CIPS) is advantageous but not required.
Preferred additional skills
* Experience in consulting or client-facing roles.
* Public procurement experience in construction.
* Knowledge of UK, Irish, & EU procurement rules.
* Experience in project, contract, and procurement management.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.
