The Client and overview of the Role: My Client a c.€100m T/O Main Contractor with a very good name in the Irish Construction industry. They have been trading 100+ years and growing their presence in the West of Ireland. This particular project is a renovation project for a 5* Hotel project in Co. Clare. It's expected to last 3-4 years and the contract value is c.€50m. I am looking for a Senior Engineer and an Assistant Project Manager.If you are a Senior Engineer or Site Manager that's looking to move away from Setting-Out and wish to discuss an Asst. PM role feel free to apply and I'd be happy to discuss! The successful Senior Engineer will have full responsibilities for the Engineering side of the project. You'll have a Junior Engineer but may be expected to set-out certain parts of the project where required. You'll definitely have to supervise/check it anyway. The project will include - extensive internal renovations (reception/foyer/rooms/kitchen/hallways/bathrooms etc., large extension, roofing/general building improvements and improvements to the hotel grounds, We're open to receiving applications from experienced Senior Site Engineers/Senior Engineers/Senior Co-Ordination Engineers with previous experience on Commercial or Apartment projects in Ireland, or UK. You'll have to possess good people skills and you'll want to stay with a Company long-term and progress over time. Main responsibilities will include: Overseeing all Engineering aspects of a construction project. Ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Managing and coordinating other Engineers, Design Teams and resolving technical challenges. Ensuring compliance with construction plans and safety regulations. Working closely with on-site and off-site management teams to set-out the project. Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate Check shuttering, steel other dimensions prior to concrete pours. Liaise with subcontractors, clients and internal teams to ensure that program targets are met/exceeded where possible. Order materials, plant and maintain reconciliation files. Come up with solutions to problems, where necessary. Oversee quality control, BCAR and health and safety on site. Maintain materials reconciliation files. Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. 5+ years experience as an Engineer/Senior Engineer with a Main Contractor or Residential Developer. Experience using setting out equipment - Eg. total station, GPS and laser levels. Knowledge of temporary works coordination. Strong attention to detail and able to work on own initiative. What's on offer? Basic salary of at least €75,000. If you're really good, my Client will pay above this but you'll need to be able demonstrate why they should.
