Financial Accountant – Cork
We are seeking a fully qualified Financial Accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations and reporting activities of the finance function. This role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, analysis, compliance, and business partnering within a collaborative finance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Support monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting and forecasting processes
* Prepare and contribute to management reports for senior stakeholders
* Analyse monthly results, investigate variances and support financial reviews
* Assist with cashflow, treasury, liquidity and working capital reporting and forecasting
* Own and maintain accurate expense reporting processes
* Support external audit processes and preparation of statutory financial statements
* Ensure compliance with tax, statutory and regulatory requirements
* Act as a finance business partner to internal departments, supporting operational and ad hoc initiatives
* Provide support across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll activities
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations accurately and on time
* Maintain the general ledger, including journal postings and month-end close activities
* Support external financial filings (e.g. Revenue, CSO)
* Monitor and support cashflow forecasting
* Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including additions and disposals
* Provide cover for payroll processing when required
Requirements
Fully qualified ACCA, ACA
Degree in Finance/Accounting or related.
3 years experience in similar role.
