Staff Medical Scientist
Job Description:
A highly skilled medical scientist is required to join our laboratory team in Cork. As a staff grade medical scientist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized diagnostic testing in Clinical Chemistry, Haematology, and Blood Transfusion.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform complex analytical tasks using state-of-the-art equipment.
* Develop and maintain high-quality processes that meet regulatory standards.
* Participate in an on-call rota and provide exceptional service outside of standard hours.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.
Eligibility Criteria:
* Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biomedical Sciences from an approved University.
* Full registration with CORU.
* Membership of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine.
* Previous experience in Haematology, Biochemistry, Blood transfusion, Clinical Chemistry or Microbiology in a clinical laboratory setting.
