The team is seeking an Engineering Support Technician to work on a 1-year contract with applications engineers to operate and maintain various testbeds in the Catalyst building related to automotive products. The candidate will be part of a project team consisting of members from disciplines such as marketing, validation, and systems and application engineering, aiming to bring a product concept to mass production.
This hands-on position requires strong skills in working with measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of PCB manufacturing testing and debugging, with additional familiarity in PCB schematic entry, layout, and manufacturing processes being advantageous.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Assist in setup and testing for PCB and pack testing, and testing use cases for customers.
* Operate conducted test beds for software revisions.
* Provide logistic support to the applications engineering team.
* Demonstrate strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to perform independently and within large, multi-disciplinary teams across multiple time zones.
* Possess a general working knowledge of PCB debugging.
* Have hand soldering skills.
* Maintain strong organizational skills and the ability to meet aggressive schedules.
* Experience with bench evaluation equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, and analyzers.
* Experience with PCB schematic entry, layout, and manufacturing processes is a plus.
