Business Systems & IT Manager (Full Time)

This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the technological foundation of a high-growth, high-performance business that powers the digital economy and next-generation critical infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

1. IT and Hardware Management:
* Oversee all company hardware assets including laptops, desktops, tablets, desk phones, mobile devices, printers, access points, firewalls, and authentication devices.
* Maintain a centralised inventory system to track hardware lifecycle and security compliance.
* Develop and enforce standardised procurement and maintenance policies.
2. Business Systems and Software:
* Lead the administration of SAP ERP, ensuring seamless integration with third-party solutions providers and systems.
* Manage Microsoft 365 and enterprise applications, overseeing licensing, updates, and user adoption.
* Ensure system-wide data consistency, security, and operational efficiency.
3. Communications and Infrastructure:
* Maintain a secure, high-performance IT network, including internet and intranet solutions.
* Oversee secure access control for employees, enabling remote work and cross-site collaboration.
* Implement and manage Follow-Me voice services, ensuring uninterrupted communication across business locations.
* Oversee SAP and third-party software integrations, ensuring smooth workflows and system interoperability.
* Manage API connections to enable real-time data exchange across platforms.
* Oversee MSPs helpdesk facilities for your colleagues, ensuring timely resolution of support tickets.
* Promote and organise regular IT training sessions to enhance user proficiency in business applications, security, and system updates.
* Manage both remote and onsite support.
4. Operational Excellence and IT Governance:
* Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Define and enforce response times for IT support, hardware issues, and software updates.
* Establish uptime guarantees and support windows for critical business systems.
* Implement real-time monitoring of hardware, software, and network performance.
* Deliver regular reports on system health, IT support efficiency, and security posture.
5. Security and Compliance:
* Develop and implement robust cybersecurity protocols, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, and data encryption.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR and industry data protection standards.
6. Scalability and Futureproofing:
* Plan IT infrastructure upgrades that scale with company growth and business expansion.
* Continuously assess emerging technology trends and implement future-ready solutions.


The Ideal Candidate

* Proven experience in IT management, business systems administration, or enterprise applications.
* Strong background in IT governance, risk management, and aligning technology with business objectives, with experience in managing third-party service providers to ensure operational excellence.
* Ability to develop IT governance frameworks, risk management policies, and best practices.
* Experience in systems integration, automation, and API management.
* Track record of optimising business operations.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of working with leadership, department heads, and external providers.
* Experience managing third-party vendors and negotiating service contracts.
