Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
The NCBI Lochrann Centre provides day services for adults who are blind or vision impaired. Duties include:
1. Working as part of a team
2. Supporting Service Users at our Day Centre with various activities including Arts and Crafts, bingo, games, and outings.
3. Accompanying and supporting Service Users on outings and offsite community activities (e.g. swimming, gym, etc.)
4. Providing a sighted guide and assisting service users around the building, offsite, and engaging in sessions.
5. Socialising and engaging with service users when they are in service and encouraging engagement in their planned activities.
6. Cleaning and organising day service.
7. Ensuring implementation of H&S, IPC and Safeguarding measures at all times.
8. Garda vetting will be required for this post.
