Job Title: Field Service Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity to join a global leader in semiconductor production equipment systems as a Field Service Engineer.
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site field service engineering activities to the company's customers. You will troubleshoot complex products and problems, ensuring that all products/equipment are maintained.
The role requires excellent communication skills, a solution-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also have experience with hand tools, electronic diagnostic equipment, test fixtures equipment, and efficient use of office software.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage service calls and determine customer needs or problems, responding accordingly.
* Provide over-the-phone consultation and advice to the customer, responding to emergency customer situations or scheduling repairs at the customer site.
* Perform preventive maintenance on Company products.
* Establish and manage local maintenance service structures.
* Inspect and evaluate customer usage of Company products.
* Provide training to customers on product usage and maintenance.
* Offer application support on Company products to customers.
* Liaise between the customer and applications programmer for customer requests involving changes in applications.
* Research market needs and customer applications of Company products.
* Submit application reports to management in a timely manner.
* Support sales activities and establish/maintain good relationships with customers.
* Train other Company field service engineers as needed.
* Submit various reports (service reports, weekly reports, expense reports) to management on time.
* Maintain company parts and tools, minimizing downtime.
* Effectively communicate with head office engineers regarding product applications and technical issues.
* Maintain high ethical standards in the workplace and comply with all company policies/procedures.
* Meet the minimum qualifications specified below.
Qualifying Criteria:
* Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering.
* Two to five years of experience working as an FSE in the Semiconductor Industry (New graduates with internship experience considered).
* Experience/exposure to Lithography, Optics, Plasma, Laser, robotics highly preferred.
* Experience in troubleshooting/repair of optics/laser, and any mechanical under vacuum environment experience.
* Eligibility to travel overseas occasionally.
* Efficient use of office equipment and software includes Windows operating system & MS Office.
