Mental Health Act Administrator
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mental Health Act Administrator to join our team.
Job Overview:
This role requires an individual who can support the delivery of duties within the Centre daily, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Schedule and coordinate Centre activities in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Verify that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date, including Daily Progress Notes, ICPs, and MDT Forms.
* Communicate effectively with Service User Representatives, Clinical Staff, and other key stakeholders.
* Monitor and review Clinicians/Support Staff reports for completeness and accuracy.
* Assist in maintaining organised files and records.
* Closely monitor Accidents and Incident Reports on the AIRS System and ensure they are filed in order.
* Evaluate Clinical Risk tools to ensure they are current and accurate.
* Review section papers to verify relevant paperwork is present and correct, highlighting areas requiring amendment.
* Update diaries and spreadsheets with listings of Court and Tribunal hearings.
* Notify all relevant parties concerning report deadlines and dates of hearings.
* Chase up reports for all Court and Tribunal Hearings.
* Contact Clinicians and other relevant parties to arrange their attendance at Hearings.
* Provide administrative support to the Tribunal Clerk as needed.
* Data input of Section within the Mental Health Act spreadsheet.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to mental health administration.
* Experience engaging with external agencies (MHC, HSE, Tusla etc.).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
