A vacancy exists in the Operations Department for an Assistant Restaurant Manager (ARM). Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, the successful incumbent(s) will be part of a development programme aimed at preparing them for future ARM positions within the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist the RGM in achieving CHAMPS Standards by ensuring all employees focus on exceeding customer expectations in areas such as Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product quality, and Speed of Service.
2. Learn to manage shifts in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures, including directing employee activities to maximize sales, operating efficiency, and profitability.
3. Understand how to assign responsibilities to employees on shift and monitor their performance.
4. Ensure proper maintenance procedures are followed as per the maintenance roster and inform the RGM of any repairs or maintenance needs.
5. Learn about forecasting and scheduling labour by shift, creating deployment plans to control labour costs and meet business needs using tools like Macromatix.
6. Support the RGM in implementing controls and procedures to ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, property, and company resources.
7. Report any employee relations issues, customer service concerns, or health inspection matters to the RGM that could impact restaurant operations.
8. Assist in implementing staff training programmes to enhance performance and support career development.
9. Support and exemplify our 'How We Win Together' principles by demonstrating Heart, Smart, and Courage, acting as a role model and providing leadership.
