This role is on behalf of the Land Development Agency, whom we are partnering for their recruitment needs.
The Land Development Agency (LDA) is a key Government Commercial Semi-State Body that delivers affordable and social housing on State and other lands. It is overseen by an independent board of directors and is funded with €5 billion of equity capital committed by the Government. It is also permitted to borrow up to €1.25bn.
The LDA has commenced construction on various state sourced lands and is currently working on 25 plus direct delivery projects that can deliver over 15,000 homes. It is also delivering affordable housing by working with the private sector on an initiative called 'Project Tosaigh', which will yield a further 8,000 homes on land provided by housebuilders.
Additionally, the LDA is working on large-scale longer-term strategic areas by master-planning and bringing forward planning applications in locations such as Limerick Colbert Quarter, the Cork Docklands and Sandy Road in Galway.

Your new role
The LDA is seeking a highly motivated Development Manager to join their collaborative Development Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experts in planning, legal, construction, cost, investment, and asset management, contributing to the delivery of large-scale affordable housing and regeneration projects across Ireland.
As part of a dedicated Development Team, you'll manage projects through the full development lifecycle - from inception and appraisal to planning and construction commencement.

What you'll need to succeed
The organisation is looking for a driven and experienced professional who meets the following criteria:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in the property development sector or a related field.
* Demonstrated passion for delivering impactful, high-quality developments- residential experience is a strong advantage.
* Holds a recognised degree in project management, construction, development, or a related field.
* Strong project management skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
* Solid understanding of the Irish or UK planning, development, and construction sectors.
* Experience across the full development lifecycle, from site feasibility to construction delivery.
* Technical knowledge of planning systems, construction methods, and value engineering principles.
* Commercial awareness, with an understanding of cost drivers and budget impacts.
* Proven ability to lead and support others, communicate clearly, and foster team motivation.
* Comfortable working independently or as part of a structured team, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
* Committed to continuous learning and professional development.

arrangements to support work-life balance. These are mainly office-based positions with elements of site visits.Standard working hours are
40 per week
