Finance Director
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Director to lead and develop the finance function within a dynamic, international business environment.
This is a senior leadership role with broad responsibility, combining strategic financial oversight with hands-on operational delivery, and close collaboration with senior stakeholders across the business.
The Role
As Finance Director, you will have full responsibility for controlling and developing the finance function, ensuring robust financial management, reporting and compliance while supporting the wider business through strong FP&A and business partnering.
In addition to finance leadership, the role provides oversight and support across other business functions including IT, HR and Legal, making it a key position within the senior management team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the FP&A function, acting as a strategic finance partner to senior business leaders
Own and continuously improve all finance-related processes, controls and procedures
Manage and develop the finance team, supporting capability building and performance
Oversee finance systems and ERP tools, ensuring effective and compliant use
Lead the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual management and board reports
Take full ownership of statutory reporting, annual audits and financial statements across multiple entities
Maintain end-to-end responsibility for balance sheet management
Work closely with international and central finance teams to ensure consistent reporting and compliance
Provide financial insight, advice and challenge to senior leadership to support decision-making
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior finance leadership role
Strong background in financial reporting, group consolidations and international accounting standards
Solid understanding of international tax matters
Advanced ERP system experience (e.g. SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks or similar)
Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Ability to analyse, interpret and explain complex financial data clearly
Strong leadership, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Pharmaceutical industry experience is advantageous, but not essential
