Supervisor Schedule of Responsibilities
The following list describes the set of areas within shop operation that fall under the remit of the supervisors.
* STAFFING
Supervisors are responsible for reporting possible staffing issues when they arise. For example no one to make coffee or juices/smoothies. Guiding new staff on the correct processes and policies of the store.
Supervisors are responsible for allocation of tasks throughout the day and oversight to ensure that they are completed to specification.
* CUSTOMER RELATIONS
Supervisors play a critical role in ensuring that our customers' needs are being met at all times. Ensuring that all staff remain focused on the customer's presence during their time in our store is the highest priority at all times, regardless of what other tasks are being undertaken. Going the extra mile to ensure our customers receive great service is the number one focus for all members of staff, and supervisors must set the example for this. Supervisors must set the standard that all customers must be greeted and given attention regardless of how busy we are.
* SHOP ADMIN
Supervisors must ensure all invoices, shrinkage, stock receipts and returns, and sundry paperwork are correctly handled by all team members, that items such as vouchers are consistently totalled and credit claims processed efficiently and in a timely manner.
* MAINTENANCE
Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that any equipment and appliances required for shop operation are kept in working order, and for prompt reporting and initiation of whatever process is required to remedy issues once found with these items.
* Deliveries
Supervisors should ensure all stock delivered is handled properly and prioritised accordingly, quality checked where necessary, and completed by the end of the day.
* FEEDBACK
Any issues that arise during the day must be reported in the shift handover. Examples of issues which may arise include team performance, other staffing issues, training completed, stock discrepancies, cash discrepancies, equipment malfunction / maintenance issues, orders to be completed
