Your New Company
Your new organisation is a Semi State Utilities Body responsible for key infrastructure in Ireland. They operate nationwide in conjunction with 31 local authorities and various construction stakeholders. Offices are located across the country.
Your New Role
There are two roles covering Greater Dublin: Dublin & Kildare / Meath and Wicklow / South Dublin. The role is mainly site-based with some hybrid work for paperwork. Responsibilities include site visits for non-standard connection applications, site assessments, and creating Work Orders. You will collaborate with third parties to ensure onsite connection services and oversee connection requests to water and wastewater networks, working with local authorities and other stakeholders. You will also support network reinforcement schemes driven by connection demand, working with various partners.
Selection of duties
* Provide excellent customer experience through the entire connection process.
* Monitor site inspection requests related to non-standard applications.
* Assess plans received with applications for technical investigations.
* Conduct site assessments adhering to health and safety policies.
* Perform technical and field assessments of applications.
* Document inspection results and manage Work Orders.
* Support network development and reinforcement projects.
* Perform onsite QA for water and wastewater infrastructure.
* Liaise with internal teams such as Asset Planning, Asset Delivery, and Operations.
* Evaluate and provide feedback on infrastructure design on and off development sites.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* A relevant third-level qualification in Civil Engineering.
* At least 3 years of on-site experience with civil contractors, developers, or builders.
* Experience with utility connections and water/wastewater is advantageous.
* Knowledge of planning applications and connection regulations.
* Own vehicle and ability to work in specified locations; full-time work in Ireland only.
