Reporting to the Production Supervisor the Engine Mechanic as part of global team and will provide the following services to the customer; 1.
On- wing repairs - Repairs with the engine mounted on the aircraft.

On-site repairs In cases where a disassembly of the engine from the wing is required, mobile repairs are offered directly at the customers facility.
3.
Repair Station More complex repairs, can be performed at one of the repair stations.
Commercial Jet Engine Mechanics perform a variety of technical support functions to assist engineers with the design, development, operation, installation and maintenance of engineering systems and constructions.
Jet engine repair knowledge is a benefit with a recognised apprenticeship of minimum 3 years, or recognised apprenticeship in Motor trade or industrial fitter.

Responsibilities Prepares estimates of materials, equipment and labour required for engineering projects.
Diagnoses and detects faults and implements procedures to maintain efficient operation of systems and equipment.
Inspects completed aircraft maintenance work as per Part 145 to certify that it meets standards and the jet engine is ready for operation.
Visits and advises clients on the maintenance of commercial jet engine repairs.
Participation on InField Events worldwide.
Read and understand manufacturer maintenance documentation.
Perform self-reliant removal, installation and inspection tasks on engine/QEC components.
Take delegated technical decisions and actions to ensure economical and on time performance of maintenance task.
Perform work according to company procedures and applicable Maintenance Data.
Independent / duplicate inspection, FOD inspection.
Support quality department for audit preparation and execution.
Confirm as Perform and/or Inspect/Sign-Off as engine mechanic within individual Terms of Authorization.
Supervision of valid configuration based on previous quality control steps (e.g.
conformance kitting check).
Supervise and verify new or significant change of work scope, modifications, process, standards, tools, equipment etc.
Job Description Inspect parts for conformity including fabricated parts.
Issue Certificate of Conformance if qualified for process.
Support escalated problem clarification, investigations, and verifications.
Supervision of corrective actions.
Prepare and support audits and related measures.
Support quality department by reporting occurrences, FOD checks and quality scans.
Plans and prepares work and test schedules based on specifications and drawings.
Sets up equipment, undertakes tests, takes readings, performs calculations and records and interprets data.
Person Specification & Qualifications Jet engine repair knowledge is a benefit with a recognised apprenticeship of minimum 3 years, or recognised apprenticeship in Motor trade or industrial fitter.
Entrants to training usually possess GCSEs/S grades.
Vocational training consists either of full-time study for a BTEC/SQA award followed by two years on-the-job training leading to an NVQ/SVQ at Level 3 or 4.
An NVQ/SVQ in Aircraft Engineering Maintenance at Level 3 plus further professional qualifications are required to become a licensed commercial jet engine mechanic, or a European standard apprenticeship at Level 6.
Experience of working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
You should be pro-active and eager to learn and take on responsibility.
Attention to detail and a high level of manual dexterity are essential.
Ability to work as part of a team and get along well with other team members.
Problem solving ability in a rapidly changing environment.
