Are you looking for a new challenge?A Brighter, zero carbon future awaitsJoin our dedicated team where we We currently have an opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to join a vibrant Project Management Methodologies (PMM) team in Engineering & Major Projects in a key role.An experienced Project Scheduler Team Member is required within the Project Management Methodologies section of Engineering & Major Projects business unit (EMP) to work on domestic and international projects (primarily Networks and Generation projects). These will be projects developed and delivered within EMP, ESB Networks and Generation & Trading (G&T). The scheduling team may be expected to manage up to 300 concurrent project schedules (typical project values €1M to €50M). Project types are diverse, ranging from renewable projects (e.g., onshore and offshore wind, battery installations), to power station overhaul projects, to a wide variety of network infrastructural projects.An opportunity is available for a self-motivated candidate with strong influencing and communication skills, with a proven track record in project management. This role will allow the candidate to develop an in-depth knowledge of projects across the ESB group while interacting with key stakeholders.*Key Responsibilities*Develop good quality baseline schedules based on company standards and maintain the project schedules to support the projects being delivered within EMP, Networks and G&T. This includes projects at Concept, Design and Development phases as well as Construction and Commissioning phases.Work closely with the Project Managers (PMs) and Project Engineers (PEs) in developing their project schedules and ensuring robust analysis and challenge to the project schedulesWork closely with PMO especially around the development of TBS (task breakdown structures)Identify project schedule risks and address them to the PM and/or PESchedule integration across multiple projects and support Project Managers with contractor claims managementWork with clients to determine and implement solutions to their schedule needsDevelop and design custom schedule reports and provide analysis on schedule information, e.g., negative float & look-ahead reports and what-if analyses and Identify improvement opportunities pertaining to schedule issuesProactively troubleshoot schedule issues and gaps and work to resolve issues with stakeholdersHelp with the roll-out of best practice scheduling training solutions to the PM community, Implement project schedule change control / data integrity management / baselining, Data import / interface management*EssentialExperience and Qualifications*At least 5 years relevant work experience.Expert knowledge of MSP and good knowledge of Primavera.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel etc. as well as good knowledge of SharePoint and working on live documents via online platforms.Significant experience of working from own initiative, taking ownership of work / projectsStrong knowledge of project management processesTrack record of working on a variety of projects including major projects (>€0.5M)Proven track record of achieving objectives and delivering value for the organization.Proven stakeholder management skillsAbility to work and share knowledge and competencies within a team structureExcellent communication, reporting interpersonal and organisational skillsFlexibility which is important in all aspects of the role, including travel nationally and internationally.DesirableProject Management experience.Experience of project delivery environment within utilities/energy industry or other heavy industry.Good knowledge of Power BI.*EssentialQualifications*Third level qualification in Engineering or relevant area.Full, clean driver's license.DesirableFormal Project Management qualificationLocationThis position will be based in One DAC, Dublin Airport or Eastgate Little Island, Cork.ESB is committed to smart working – combining digital tools with a culture of trust and empowerment to enable flexible ways of working.
