Associate – Cost Management
At AECOM, we are currently seeking an Associate – Cost Management to join our Galway office.
Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of Cost Management commissions, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to a high standard of client satisfaction.
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Senior Surveyors, Project Surveyors, and Graduates, supporting their development and performance.
Act as the primary point of contact for AECOM clients (both new and existing) across assigned projects, building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships.
Oversee the efficient management of commissions, ensuring effective coordination of resources and delivery teams.
Identify, develop, and lead bids for Cost Management services across the region, supporting business growth and opportunity generation.
Ensure all team members under your supervision maintain appropriate and up-to-date training and professional development.
Manage the delivery of Cost Management outputs in line with agreed timelines, quality expectations, and client requirements.
Qualifications
Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
Professionally Qualified – Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the SCSI / RICS.
8-10 years proven experience in a consulting environment providing the full spectrum of CM services including Pre Contract Estimating; Procurement; Contract Administration, Cost Reporting and Final Account resolution.
Passionate about delivering high quality consulting services to our clients.
Understanding of Public Works Contracts and RIAI standard forms of contract.
Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.
Excellent IT Skills and the ability to utilize digital measurement, cost planning and tender document tools shall be essential.
