Job Type: Part-time 20 hours per week
Location: Navan
Contract: Temporary 3 month initial contract
Pay scale is €17.04- €26.52 depending on previous relative public sector experience.
Key Responsibilities: The Clerical Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions of the department under the direction of the assigned manager. This role is ideal for someone with strong technology skills and an aptitude for working with numbers.
* Manage and run the flexi clock/timekeeping system, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of employee hours.
* Support or take responsibility for the payroll system, including data input, validation, and preparation of payroll runs.
* Assist in resolving discrepancies in time entries and payroll-related queries.
* Maintain confidentiality of all employee and payroll information.
* Liaise with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless data flow and compliance with company policies.
* Assist with general administrative tasks related to payroll and timekeeping as required.
Essential Skills:
* Proven experience with technology systems, ideally including timekeeping or payroll software.
* High level of accuracy and strong numerical skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
* Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
* Strong communication skills and a professional, discreet approach to handling sensitive information.
* Prior experience in a payroll or finance-related role is an advantage.
