Key responsibilities: Planning, coordinating, and scheduling daily activities for drivers and operatives in line with operational requirements and service KPIs Monitoring transport operations and resolving day-to-day issues and queries from drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders Providing operational support to the Transport Manager and deputising in their absence as required Ensuring compliance with all relevant transport legislation, company policies, and regulatory requirements, including maintaining accurate records/documentation Supporting route planning and optimisation to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service delivery Promoting and contributing to a safe working environment in accordance with health and safety legislation and company procedures The Successful Candidate Will Have: A minimum of 23 years relevant experience in a similar role within transport, logistics, waste management, or a related operational environment Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (in particular Excel and PowerPoint) A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to support different operational areas as required Benefits: Performance Bonus
