Accounts AssistantWe are partnering with a well-established healthcare provider based in the Midlands, offering a range of specialist services across several locations. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support the day-to-day finance function at the Mullingar location.The PositionThis is a hands‑on role, supporting the financial operations of a busy and growing organisation. The successful candidate will work closely with management, with support from in-house Finance Administrators and an external accountancy team.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records, including purchase and sales ledgersPerform bank, supplier, and intercompany reconciliationsAssist with preparation of accounts to Trial Balance stageSupport the preparation of monthly management accountsProcess invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely mannerAssist with credit control and debtor managementSupport payroll processing (where required)Assist with VAT returns and compliance requirementsAttend monthly board meetingsPreparation of ad-hoc work, such as reports for banks or capex requirementsMaintain organised financial documentation and recordsFinancial and commercial analysisProvide oversight and guidance to finance administratorsProvide general administrative support to the finance functionDesired ExperiencePrevious experience in a bookkeeping or accounts assistant roleAccounting Technician qualification (or working towards) is desirableStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasksStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero)Ability to work both independently and as part of a teamPositive, proactive approachBenefitsSalary €40k - €45k commensurate with experienceSupportive working environment with opportunities for developmentVaried role within a growing, multi‑site organisation
