Responsibilities
* Manage and nurture a portfolio of commercial accounts, working alongside an Account Director to deliver excellent service.
* Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and claims, ensuring all processes are followed smoothly and efficiently.
* Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients and insurers to anticipate needs and deliver solutions.
* Support the team with premium collection, managing aged debt, and ensuring compliance with audit standards.
* Collaborate closely with colleagues, sharing insights and working towards shared targets to meet and exceed team goals.
* Provide timely, professional responses to customer queries and maintain accurate, detailed records.
What we’re looking for
* CIP qualification/APA Commercial Insurance (or equivalent) along with a solid understanding of commercial insurance products.
* Proven experience working in a similar account management or broking role.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – friendly, assertive, and professional on the phone and in person.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Comfortable working with Office tools like Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* A positive attitude, eager to learn and develop within the team, and ready to embrace change.
Nice to have skills
* Previous experience dealing directly with insurers or clients in a broker environment.
* Additional technical knowledge or certifications related to insurance.
* Familiarity with credit management processes or claims handling.
Education
* A background in insurance or related fields, with prior account management experience highly valued.
* The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
* Willingness to work in a hybrid setting from North Dublin or South Dublin office.
* Ability to adapt to a varied workload and handle unforeseen challenges with professionalism.
