Mid West Simon Community is a long-established organisation working to address homelessness across Limerick, Clare, and North Tipperary through housing, support, and prevention services.
The organisation is now entering a new phase of fundraising development following the creation of a new Funding Strategy and is seeking to appoint a Head of Fundraising to lead this work.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Management Team, the Head of Fundraising will lead the development of Mid West Simon Community’s fundraising function, with responsibility for income growth, diversification, donor engagement, and fundraising strategy implementation.
This role will play an important part in strengthening sustainable and unrestricted income streams to support the organisation’s long-term development and response to rising demand for homelessness services across the region.
The role will have a particular focus on:
Corporate partnerships
Individual giving
Major donor and philanthropic fundraising
Fundraising systems and processes
Donor stewardship and relationship management
The successful candidate will also contribute to wider organisational strategy and leadership as part of the senior management team.
The Organisation
Mid West Simon Community currently has a small fundraising function in place and plans to continue developing the area over time. The organisation is looking for someone who can help shape that development and work closely with the CEO and wider organisation on future fundraising growth.
The CEO described the organisation as highly supportive of fundraising development and open to new ideas, initiatives, and approaches.
