The Deputy Data Protection Officer will support the Data Protection Officer in implementing our data protection strategy, governance framework, and compliance programme. They will act as deputy in the Data Protection Officer's absence, ensuring continuity of statutory functions.
* Provide expert guidance and assurance to management, staff, and project teams on data protection obligations
* Supervise day-to-day operations of the Data Protection Office, including DSARs, DPIAs, breach management, RoPA, agreements, and training

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential qualifications include a primary degree in Irish/EU Law, Information Management, IT, or a relevant discipline, at least 2 years' experience in data protection, information governance, legal, or compliance roles at a senior level, and data protection certification. Demonstrated knowledge of GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and relevant Irish health-sector law is also required.
