An exciting opportunity has opened for a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations for a company specialising in advanced automation solutions within the medical device sector. Based in Galway, the business designs and delivers high-precision, bespoke equipment for use in regulated cleanroom environments.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage daily operations across assembly, procurement, and supply chain functions, with a focus on medical device automation projects
* Drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) performance across all operational areas
* Lead cross-functional teams in a regulated manufacturing environment (ISO 13485 or similar)
* Implement Lean tools and methodologies to optimise process efficiency
* Coordinate production schedules and materials planning to meet strict delivery timelines
* Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards
* Engage directly with medical device clients to ensure successful delivery of custom automation solutions
* Develop and track KPIs to measure and improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
What You Bring
* 5–10 years of operations management experience, specifically within the medical device manufacturing sector
* Minimum 3 years of project management experience in cross-functional settings
* Strong understanding of cleanroom operations, validation requirements, and documentation practices typical of regulated environments
* Experience with mechanical/electrical machine assembly and automation integration is a strong advantage
* Comfortable reading technical drawings and using MS Office and planning tools
Skills & Competencies
* Proven leadership with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams
* Deep knowledge of manufacturing in a regulated, quality-focused environment
* Strong planning, budgeting, and organisational skills
* Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
