Senior Civil Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead our projects in the Dublin area.
* Adhere to and maintain compliance with all Health and Safety procedures within your work.
* Set out on site to ensure that work progresses on time, all checks are carried out on a regular basis, and checking drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
* Monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
* Report to the Contract Manager but will liaise closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and safety teams, while also liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project.
* Coordinate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
* Plan work and efficiently organize site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines and resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
* Develop and implement the Quality management system while ensuring Quality and SAFE Delivery of Project.
* Attend daily meetings and communicate on Safety and quality. Create appropriate paperwork and reports: monthly quality KPI reports, construction feedback documents to measure manufacturing performance, compliance checking, accuracy to drawings, BCAR compliance record keeping, etc.
* Carry out all pre-delivery inspections on all works and ensure defects are recorded, communicated, and actions implemented to prevent re-occurrence.
* Participate in project handover meetings. Manage all inbound and outbound material deliveries.
Requirements:
Qualification/degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. 10 years of post-qualification experience. 5 years of which is on Roads Projects in City or Suburban environments.
Experience working on contracts in a city or suburban environment, including the coordination of various construction activities such as utility diversion works (e.g., watermains, drainage connections, etc.), temporary traffic management (e.g., live traffic, cyclists, pedestrians, and other vulnerable road users), landscaping, and street furniture.
