About the RoleAt Dornan we are currently recruiting for an EHS Advisor to work on one of our Pharmaceutical projects in Cork. Reporting to the Project Manager and supporting the Site Safety Manager, you will monitor Dornan’s safety performance and advise on compliance with our health, safety, and welfare policies and the company safety management system.Your day to day will includeAssist in developing safety documentsConduct regular formal site auditsCarry out inspections as directed in the Safety Management systemCommunicate findings of the audits to site management and assist in the closure of issues in line with Dornan policyEnsure delivery of health and safety inductions for all employees or contractorsAdvise on personal protection equipment required by Dornan employeesEnsure sub‑contractor safety documents are produced and available on site, relevant and in accordance with best practice and current legislationAdvise/assist the Site/Project Management team in drafting and communicating method statements for high‑risk activitiesSupport the site management in ensuring records of statutory inspections are kept for all activities and plant equipmentAssist in incident/accident investigation reporting and filingServe as Dornan representative at site meetings when requestedManage the Toolbox Schedule for the project including attendance recordsCompile and communicate site emergency plans in conjunction with the site teamAdvise site management on first‑aid requirements for the projectGive advice to site management on training requirements for each projectInform and assist site management on the preparation of the safety file for handover to the client at the end of the projectFurnish safety reports to head office as requiredEnsure compliance and promote good work practices in relation to health, safety and welfare management systemsComply with reasonable requests from senior managementAll other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your managerWhat we are looking forAbility to prioritise workloadRecognises own strengths and weaknesses and is committed to ongoing developmentAcceptance of responsibility and accountabilityHealth & Safety Diploma or above5+ years of experienceKey DetailsLocation: Cork, County Cork, IrelandSalary: €55,000 – €65,000 per annumSeniority: Mid‑Senior levelEmployment Type: Full‑timeWhy DornanWe offer career progression pathways, a supportive and inclusive work environment, and comprehensive health and wellbeing programs including workshops, a Health & Wellbeing Calendar, an Employee Assistance Programme and a Wellbeing Network.We are committed to sustainability, diversity and inclusion, and pride ourselves on a dynamic workforce that reflects a wide range of backgrounds, cultures and beliefs.Note for Recruitment AgenciesWe prefer to hire directly.
