Job title: Assistant Manager

At Olympian Gymnastics, we aim to make gymnastics fun and accessible for all ages and abilities. We are looking to hire a new Assistant Manager to manage the day-to-day running and development of our Greenhills facility.

Olympian Gymnastics is Ireland's largest gymnastics provider with over 100 classes per week in seven clubs in the South Dublin Area. We offer gymnastics-based movement classes for children aged 18 months and above, focusing on social development and interaction. Role Description

The Assistant Manager will be co-responsible for the overall management, administration, and promotion of our Greenhill facility. This is a part-time, on-site role. The Assistant Manager will oversee the daily operations of the centre, manage staff, ensure programs and operations are run safely and efficiently, maintain facility cleanliness, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and promote the club to potential members.

Candidate requirements (essential = E / desirable = D)

* Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field (D)
* Experience in budgeting and financial management (D)
* Experience working in a managerial position (ideally sports management) (E)
* Strong general management experience, including staff management (D)
* Ability to work as both part of a team and independently (E)
* IT literate with strong experience of Microsoft Office or Google Suite (D)
* Excellent timekeeping and time management skills (E)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and interact with parents, children, and staff (E)
* Access to own transport with full driving license and insurance (D)
* To have excellent problem-solving abilities and have the ability to resolve challenging situations in a calm, effective and timely manner (E)
* Leadership, organisational, and management skills (D)
* Experience in managing staff and running a facility (E)
* Demonstrated ability to promote membership and improve participation (D)
* First Aid and CPR certification (D)

Candidate compliance requirements

* Candidates must be aged 18+
* Candidates must have proof of right to work within Ireland
* Candidates must be willing to be Garda vetted
* Candidates must be willing to obtain a safeguarding level 2 certification
* Candidates must be willing to obtain a first aid qualification
* Candidates must be proficient in English language (For international applicants - Cambridge C2 or IELTS 8.0 or above)

Duties and Responsibilities of the Olympian Assistant Manager:

Duties will be discussed in full at time of interview. A brief outline is below listed:

* To act as the main point of contact for the Centre
* Develop close working relationships with all stakeholders, and local community groups to ensure that there is a suitable healthy environment for everyone using the Centres.
* Management of all day-to-day onsite activity.
* Support the Centre Manager in delivering the different projects to the highest of quality & completed on time, and within budget
* Assist with the implementation of the Olympian Gymnastics - Greenhills aims and objectives.
* Assist with recruitment: interviewing, hiring and training new employees
* Market and actively promote the Centre in line with the Marketing Plan, to obtain new clients and engagement with the community
* Management, motivating and development of staff
* Participate and conduct performance reviews
* Maintain appropriate filing systems and records
* Ensure classes and programmes are carried out to the highest of standards
* Assist with the implementation and reinforcement of the company's Health and Safety guidelines on site
* Assist with the implementation and reinforcement of the company's Policies and procedures guidelines on site
* Attend meetings and briefings to ensure efficient communication with Centre Manager and coaching team
* Maintain confidentiality on all matters relating to Centre's users and general Centre's business
* Ensure that the building is maintained to the required standards and any maintenance work is completed in a timely manner
* Maintain and monitor security, systems and alarms, for the building where applicable
* To maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all aspects of the business
* Take over the duties and responsibilities of the Centre Manager in the event of their absence
* Other duties as required
