Injection Moulding Process Engineer - Medical Device
CPL Recruitment is assisting a valued client in sourcing an injection process moulding engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a manufacturing site that has undergone significant investment and expansion. You will be part of a friendly and experienced team with strong leadership.
Your role will involve supporting the introduction of new products to the site.
Requirements:
* Prior medical device and/or injection moulding experience is required. This is a day role.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for introducing all new products into the company, compiling standard specifications, and monitoring existing production to meet these standards.
* Collaborate with Production Group Leaders to troubleshoot processing issues.
* Establish relationships with customers and suppliers to foster continuous improvement and business development.
* Work with the Quality department to resolve customer-related problems.
* Train and instruct team members on manufacturing skills and new processes.
* Develop and review documentation in line with ISO standards, ensuring ongoing compliance.
* Maintain communication with external suppliers and provide feedback to management.
Minimum Requirements:
* National Diploma in Engineering, preferably a Degree in Plastics Engineering.
* At least 3 years of experience in the injection moulding industry.
* Extensive knowledge of injection mould tooling and design.
* Proficiency in injection moulding processes, equipment, and automation systems.
* Experience in medical, packaging, or technological industries is preferred.
* Knowledge of real-time monitoring systems is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and their practical application.
* Familiarity with WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen principles.
* Computer literacy, including manufacturing systems, word processing, and spreadsheets; knowledge of MFG Pro is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel as required.
