Communications & Policy Officer (12 Month FTC)
Location: Dublin 7
Contract Type: Maternity Leave
Work Arrangement: 3-4 days onsite/week (Fully onsite during training.)

We are partnering with a leading membership organisation to recruit a Communications & Policy Officer on a contract basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the organisation’s communications, policy, and stakeholder engagement activities while working with a broad range of internal and external audiences.

About the Role:
* Support the organisation’s communications strategy, drafting content for newsletters, websites, and digital platforms.
* Liaise with external PR agencies, support media briefings, press releases, and other communications opportunities.
* Keep up to date with national and international political and policy developments, providing analysis and recommendations.
* Undertake policy research to inform submissions, reports, and action plans.
* Monitor parliamentary and policy developments, including legislation, consultations, and reform programmes.
* Support committee, working group, and Council agendas and communications.
* Draft briefings, correspondence, and articles for diverse stakeholders.
* Contribute to internal and external campaigns, initiatives, and projects as required.
About You:
* At least 3 years’ experience in a policy, public affairs, or communications role, preferably within a membership organisation, professional body, or public affairs environment
* A degree in Politics, Public Policy, Economics, Media/Communications, Law, or a related discipline.
* Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills, with the ability to distil complex information for diverse audiences.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including managing relationships at senior levels.
* Organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to prioritise in a dynamic environment.
* A collaborative, team-oriented approach.
