Exciting opportunity to join a leading team in research finance As a Programme Executive in Research Finance, you'll play a crucial role in supporting funded research grant programmes, overseeing financial administration, compliance, and contributing to program development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform compliance checks on grants and other payments as required.
* Maintain and update policies and procedure manuals in line with business requirements.
* Support the management and improvement of the organisations finance and grant systems.
* Support the internal and external audit processes and assist in the preparation of annual financial statements
* Fixed Assets accounting, ensuring all assets are recorded correctly and the Fixed asset Register is accurate and kept up to date.
Essential Skills and Experience required:
* Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or similar (NFQ Level 7 or higher).
* Minimum of 5 years' direct relevant experience working in an accounts function.
* Experience of Accounting packages and/or ERP systems.
* Strong understanding of controls and good governance practices.
* Well-developed IT skills and understanding of MS Office 365 package.
* Strong organisation, communication, and IT skills; financial controls experience; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in public sector or EU grants
* Strong project management skills
